Collins Aerospace in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC VMCs and related machines onsite with the IAM Local 755 union. Duties include setting up tooling, determining speeds/feeds, reading blueprints, and ensuring precise aerospace components are produced to spec.

The role emphasizes experience with Inconel and Titanium, alignment to safety standards, and collaboration with shop colleagues in a primarily daytime, on-site environment.

Qualificações

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, CMMs and specifications.
• Experience with CNC VMC setup and programming.
• Experience working with aerospace alloys like Inconel and Titanium.

Responsabilidades

• Plan sequence of operations from blueprints and routing.
• Determine tooling, speeds, feeds, and tolerance goals.
• Set up and operate CNC VMCs and other machines to produce parts.
• Grind tools and perform basic surface grinding as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant shop environment.
• Assist other operators with knowledge and guidance.

AA/AS degree or 2-year training (required)

HS diploma/GED + 6 years experience
