Collins Aerospace in Chula Vista, CA seeks a CNC Machinist for an onsite role, working 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. You will plan, set up, and operate CNC VMC machines to produce tooling and production parts, reading blueprints and CMMs, and handling aerospace alloys like Inconel and Titanium.

Experience with CNC VMC, G-Code programming, and CAM software is required. The IAM Local 755 is referenced for the onsite team structure and benefits are described in the offer.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CMMs.
• Experience with CNC VMC setup and programming.
• Experience with aerospace alloys such as Inconel and Titanium.

Responsabilités

• Plan the sequence of progressive operations from blueprints and routing.
• Set up VMC and secure work with tooling and fixtures.
• Determine tools, feeds, speeds, and tolerances to minimize machining steps.
• Operate CNC/VMC machines to produce tooling, maintenance, and production parts.
• Maintain shop practices and clean workstation/environment.
• Assist other operators with knowledge and best practices.
