Job summary

Marvin Engineering Co. in Inglewood, CA is seeking a CNC Machinist II to set up and operate mill machines used to fabricate aircraft and military components.

You will work on vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis mills/ lathes, read complex blueprints, use fixtures, and maintain quality, with a Monday–Friday schedule and onsite work. This role requires 3–5 years of machining experience, lifting up to 35 lbs, and compliance with safety and lean 6S practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to read complex blueprints and manufacturing sketches.
• 3–5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and wear PPE.
• Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma and OKK machines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Vertical, Horizontal, and 5‑axis mills/ lathes.
• Perform setups independently and understand fixturing and tooling.
• Inspect parts against blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Record labor hours and production quantities in ERP.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce setup times and improve cycle times.
• Follow safety and 6S lean practices.
