Job summary

Woodward Inc. is seeking a Machinist I for second shift in Niles, IL. You will set up and operate Lathe, Vertical Milling, CNC machines, and OD/ID grinders, following work instructions and quality standards.

The role offers base pay $16.49-$28.60 hourly with a 10% shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) match, stock contribution, tuition reimbursement, holidays, medical/dental/vision, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ experience in related work or applicable degree.
• Ability to operate and set up CNC equipment.
• Knowledge of CNC programming/machining including reading/editing basic programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathe and milling machines.
• Operate CNC equipment and inspect machined parts.
• Document nonconforming material and participate in root-cause actions.
• Use gauging equipment to ensure conformance to specs.
• Obtain required certifications for processes.
