Job summary

Chromalloy is hiring a Machinist for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) in Newnan, GA. You will operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision aerospace components, read blueprints, apply GD&T, and document production results.

The role requires attention to detail, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities for advancement and a robust benefits program. A high school diploma and machining training are preferred; prior CNC experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school certificate or specialized machining education preferred.
• Experience operating CNC and/or manual machines valued but not required for entry-level applicants.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components, within tight tolerances.
• Analyze blueprints and work orders to determine machine setups and procedures.
• Apply GD&T to ensure product conformity.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, pi tapes) to inspect parts.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain high-quality production.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Operate overhead cranes safely to move materials and parts.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and production records.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to meet priorities and assignments.
