Essential Functions

1. Basic computer skills
2. Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
3. Advanced knowledge of blueprints and sketch interpretations to ensure proper fit and finish of parts
4. Skilled at identifying and measuring appropriate surface finishes
5. Use appropriate tools to deburr and sketch parts
6. Ability to set basic offsets and be efficient at probes for offset
7. Operate lathe and 3-axis milling machines
8. Construct basic machine “G” codes and identify crash moves
9. Construct touch-off points and set tool lengths
10. Advanced knowledge of machining terminology
11. Advanced knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools
12. Identify and adhere to all HSE policies and practices without prompting
13. Experience and practice in submitting Concern Cards for Safety concerns
14. Basic knowledge of and practice of 5S
15. Knowledge of Lean Methods and practice
16. Adept verbal and written communication skills
17. History of compliance with company policies and procedures
18. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
19. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and process-related problems
20. Ability to rework damaged parts and work under general supervision
21. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience / Knowledge

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Authorized to work in the US
3. 3 years’ experience in CNC machining or Machining Certificate from an accredited Voc/tech
4. Machining Certificate from an accredited Voc/tech preferred
5. Programming knowledge preferred
6. Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles
7. Exposure to heat, cold, wet, and snow conditions
