Allways Precision has an excellent career opportunity for a CNC Machinist. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist to join our talented, growing team. We are a machine tool remanufacturer, supplying machined parts for internal use in machine building. Runs typically range from single pieces to 20 pieces, involving milling or turning various materials. Some surface grinding knowledge is also beneficial.

Qualifications

The right candidate will have a high mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with skills in the following areas:

• Capability to hold tight tolerances (+/-.002, down to 0.0002”). Able to inspect parts to the same tolerances.
• Ability to perform mechanical assembly of machine segments with close fit tolerances.
• Knowledge of multi-axis CNC machine shop equipment, including knee mills, surface grinders, CNC Mills (Haas, Doosan), and manual lathes.
• Familiarity with CAM software (BobCAD, Solidworks CAM) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Draftsight).
• Proficiency with dial calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Strong shop math skills and the ability to read prints.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, managing job assignments from start to finish with minimal assistance.
• Experience with surface grinding using Chevalier and Okamoto CNC grinders.
• Scraping flat ways and spindle bearings is a plus.
