First Shift Machinist - Temp to Hire

Schedule: First Shift (Full-Time)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a hands-on machinist with a knack for precision and problem-solving? We're looking for a skilled Machinist to join our team on a first shift temp-to-hire basis. You'll be responsible for planning, setting up, and operating a range of machine shop equipment - interpreting blueprints, making adjustments on the fly, and ensuring that each part meets exacting quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  

  Operate manual and CNC machining tools including mills, lathes, and drills

  
  


• 
  

  Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  
  


• 
  

  Set up, align, secure, and adjust workpieces and cutting tools

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor machine performance, speeds, and feeds to ensure precision

  
  


• 
  

  Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines

  
  


• 
  

  Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain detailed records of production and quality checks

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and product quality

  
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• 
  

  Strong machining skills with the ability to interpret and design from blueprints

  
  


• 
  

  3D CNC and CAM programming experience

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to resolve routine mechanical and technical issues

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable with moderate supervision while completing complex tasks

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy

  
  


• 
  

  Solid understanding of machine maintenance and safety best practices
