Position: CNC Machinist
Shift: 1, Hours: 7AM-4:00PM
Type: Full-Time | Mode: Direct Placement
Pay Scale: $28-32/hr | Industry: Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a CNC Milling Machinist with at least 2-axis experience. The candidate will be required to perform setup, operate machines, and make adjustments with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines (horizontal and/or vertical).
  • Verify tool lengths, including setting tool geometries and offsets.
  • Set up and change fixtures, clamp fixtures, and clamps as needed.
  • Load and unload fixtures using overhead cranes, slings, chains, etc.
  • Adjust offsets as required.
  • Produce conforming first-piece products according to process drawings and quality standards.
  • Achieve specified quality standards and hold tight tolerances on large parts (28+).
  • Proficiently use manual gauges such as swing gauges, calipers, and OD mics.
  • Conform to health and safety standards.
  • Report issues or problems immediately to supervision.
  • Collaborate within the workgroup to plan, prioritize, and perform work to meet customer and company needs.
  • Perform daily TPM activities as required.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members as needed.
  • Maintain a zero-defects and right-first-time culture.
  • Propose operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA).
  • Handle and protect parts during operations and movement to prevent damage.
  • Follow all guidelines in the Employee Handbook and adhere to company EH&S policies.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate to the position and level of responsibility.
