The pay for this position is $26.00/hr., depending on your role, level and location. GENERAL PURPOSE : Responsible for setting up and operating straight cutting equipment (Perfecta, Polar etc.).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Sets up and operates straight cutting equipment.
• Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks as needed including minor repairs.
• Levels the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes and packing.
• Reviews and follows the job ticket.
• Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
• Accurately follows instructions.
• Performs quality check and in process inspections, looking for quality issues and ensuring product conforms to quality standards.
• Maintains make-ready and cutting standards.
• Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position and department . Follows established policies, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.
• Completes non-compliance documentation as necessary.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Trains co-workers to set up, operate and use equipment as directed.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating Polar and Perfecta or similar straight cutting equipment required.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must have basic computer skills: (data entry).
• Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtraction, multiplication simple fraction conversion to decimal and division.
• Must have the ability to read a ruler; must pass ruler test.
• Must pass basic reading test.
• Must pass color vision test.
• Must pass color hue test.
• Demonstrates ability to use samples and materials, such as vinyl’s, spinjets and approved samples, to verify job accuracy and quality
• Must possess the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivation.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
