Manual Machinist Trainee

We are looking for a Manual Machinist to join our Target Rock team!

As our Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for successfully completing the training for the operation of the manual lathes, mills (Bridgeport), honing machines, and any other manual machines as seen fit by Operations Management. You will train to perform these activities in compliance with Company procedures and quality requirements. You will be trained to check their own production parts and to operate manufacturing processes and make adjustment as required while working with supervisors.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary/hourly rate: $27.01 to $28.91

Your Challenge

  • Basic machine operation and setup
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Ability to use basic inspection equipment and inspect own work.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

What You Bring

  • Must be a US citizen
  • High School Graduate or equivalent, shop mathematics and Trigonometry Skills.
  • Two (2) years of manufacturing or related experience.
  • General good housekeeping practices within work area.
  • Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.
  • Comply with Company quality and safety requirements
  • Basic Mathematics skills
