Job description

Precipart. located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking to hire CNC Machinists who have experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines to make precision components. • This position offers a career growth path through four distinct tiers, Entry Level, Class C, Class B, and Class A. Each tier is designed to build upon your skills and experience, providing targeted development and increasing responsibilities to help you achieve your professional goals.
• Our renovated facilities is equipped with state of the art equipment and is temperature controlled providing a comfortable environment that is focused on quality, safety and organization.
• 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) includes a 10% shift differential.

Essential Functions:

Set up and run up to two machines to fabricate precision parts

Load and unload parts in the machine

Start the machining cycle

Inspect dimensions of finished pieces

Change tooling as needed

Hold tight tolerance of +/- .0002

Meet quality standards and production schedules

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

• 5+ Experience setting up and operating multi-axis turning or swiss turning machines. Although, we welcome applicants of all experience levels to apply. Placement within our tiered classes will be determined through further assessment, ensuring the right fit and opportunity for advancement within our organization.
• Should demonstrate interest and aptitude in this line of work
• Relevant technical Associate degree or CNC Machining certificate is preferred for candidates with no hands on work experience
• Experience fabricat ing precision parts
• Experience working to very close tolerances (+/- .0002)
• Experience with reading blue prints for mechanical components
• Experience inspecting parts and using inspection tools
• Good aptitude for shop math
• Experience with changing live tooling
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet production schedule
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Able to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 40lbs
• Able to work 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm during the week and overtime including Saturday as needed is preferred

Pay Range: $19.00 to $46.00 an hour
