Job summary

John Deere Kernersville is seeking a CNC Machinist to machine parts on CNC tools in a safety- and quality-focused production environment. You will read work instructions, operate CNC machines, record data, and ensure conformance while supporting teammates.

Shifts include 2:30 pm–11:00 pm and 10:30 pm–7:00 am, with overtime possible. Must be 18+, have machining experience or 3+ years manufacturing background, and be able to perform manual tasks over a full shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have machining experience or at least 1 year experience machining in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive actions.
• Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

Responsibilities

• Turn, drill, bore, and/or mill parts to specification using CNC machining tools and processes.
• Operate one or more CNC machines to complete an operation.
• Read and follow work instructions and established procedures.
• Record data and maintain quality and maintenance records.
• Check results for conformance and make corrections as needed.
• Operate power driven equipment to move material, parts, and equipment.
• Use CNC tools, handling equipment, cranes, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Lubricate, check, and clean equipment and tooling.
• Assist and support team members.
• Keep work area clean and perform other duties.
