Job summary

John Deere in Coffeyville, KS is seeking a CNC Machinist to machine parts on CNC tools in a safety-first, production-focused environment. You will read blueprints, set up machines, monitor quality, and assist teammates to maintain efficiency.

Starting pay is $29.00 per hour. Eligible candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED or NCRC, and CNC certification or 6 months CNC experience, with willingness to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Primary Location: United States (US)- Kansas - Coffeyville

As a CNC Machinist with John Deere in Coffeyville, KS, you will:

Machine parts on CNC machine tools designed to turn, drill, bore, and/or mill production material in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

• Turn, drill, bore, and/or mill parts to specification using CNC machining tools and processes.
• Operate one or more CNC machines to complete an operation.
• Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
• Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
• Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical specifications to understand the requirements for basic parts and ensure accurate fabrication.
• Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
• Use various types of CNC machine tools, material handling equipment, jigs, fixtures, measuring gages and instruments, and other applicable hand and power tools.
• Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
• Assist and support other team members.
• Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Starting Pay: $29.00/ hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have at least one of the following:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
• Must have a CNC certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and other technical specifications.
• Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
• Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
