Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking a CNC Machinery Commissioning Technologist to install, commission, and service CNC equipment at customer sites. The role requires traveling about 40–50% with most trips under one week, collaborating with engineering and service teams to ensure successful startup, testing, and customer acceptance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, servicing, commissioning, or troubleshooting CNC machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proven diagnostic/problem-solving ability.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Comfort with hand/power tools and standard diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to work independently onsite and collaborate with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, level, and align CNC machines and automated subsystems.
• Commission equipment and assist with startup, testing, and customer acceptance.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Read and apply prints, schematics, manuals; connect and debug circuits.
• Identify faults and involve engineering or controls as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and minor modifications.
• Record activities, progress, issues, and resolutions thoroughly.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, controls technicians, and field teams.
• Coach customers on operation and maintenance post-install.
