Job summary

Honda in Marysville, OH is seeking a Machine Shop – Equipment Service Tech to program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment. You will develop machining processes, fixtures, and support New Model activities to minimize downtime and drive safety, quality, and delivery goals.

The role requires CAD/CAM proficiency, welding capabilities, and the ability to work weekends and overtime as needed in a large auto manufacturing plant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Tech School or 2 to 4 years of Machining and/or Tool & Die experience is preferred.
• Position supports shutdowns and weekend overtime as needed.
• May need to adjust shifts or hours as needed for support.
• Requires machining support. Examples - Emergency Work Orders, overtime, weekends, shutdowns, etc.

Responsibilities

• Machining parts to specification across materials while maximizing safety, quality, and delivery.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Inspect own parts to ensure accuracy to specs.
• Work from verbal instructions, rough sketches, prints, and 3D models.
• Work in a TEAM environment.
• Support maintenance and production on weekends and holidays.
• Perform emergency machining and maintenance for equipment failures.
• Conceive ideas and produce parts to solve production problems.
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment.
• Perform welding (TIG, MIG, Stick) and routine maintenance on shop equipment.
