Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH, is seeking a Spare Parts & Technical Support Engineer to procure proprietary spare parts, support assembly repairs, and optimize MRO replenishment across North American plants.

You will manage procurement, RFQs, and stock orders with Honda Japan, provide hands-on technical support for automated weld guns and related equipment, and train maintenance staff in rebuild methods to ensure quality and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing engineering or industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with automated weld guns, rotary paint bells, or CNC spindle gang heads.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP inventory management.
• Strong verbal, written, and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on critical specialized manufacturing equipment (servo guns, paint bells, line testers).
• Author equipment assembly and troubleshooting manuals and train maintenance associates on rebuild methods.
• Manage procurement, RFQs, and replenishment stock orders for proprietary spare parts with Honda Japan.
• Conduct technical inspections on in-house and supplier-rebuilt machine assemblies to verify quality.
• Optimize MRO stock levels to balance parts availability against working capital inventory targets.
