Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH is seeking an Equipment Specification Senior Engineer to define machine design criteria, leverage 3D simulation tools, and establish equipment procurement specs for new vehicle launches.

You will lead machinery concept development for new programs, serve as SME and project leader for capital installations, run feasibility studies with CAD tools, and write formal vendor and scope documents for on-site verification of installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in automated machinery design, equipment specification, or manufacturing engineering.
• Deep expertise in 3D CAD modeling, automated systems, and industrial process simulation.
• Superior technical writing and cross-functional communication abilities.
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of machinery concepts and automated equipment specifications for new vehicle programs.
• Serve as SME and functional Project Leader for major capital equipment installations.
• Conduct detailed process feasibility studies of new vehicle parts using 3D CAD simulation tools.
• Author Equipment Specification and Scope of Work documentation for machine tool vendors.
• Verify machine installation, integration, and runoff buyoffs on-site at Honda facilities and builder shops.
