Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Machine Shop – Equipment Service Tech to provide advanced machining, CNC programming, fabrication, welding, and equipment support to maintain production equipment.

You will program, set up, and operate CNC machines with CAD/CAM software, develop machining processes, and design fixtures for production and New Model work. Expect overtime and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Tech School or 2 to 4 years of Machining/Tool & Die experience preferred.
• Position supports shutdowns and weekend overtime as needed.
• May need to adjust shifts or hours for support.
• Requires machining support: Emergency Work Orders, overtime, weekends, shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled work by machining parts to specification across materials.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Inspect own parts for accuracy to specifications.
• Work from verbal instructions, rough sketches, prints, and 3D models.
• Collaborate in a TEAM environment.
• Work weekends and holidays to support maintenance and production.
• Perform emergency machining and maintenance support for equipment failures.
• Conceive ideas and produce parts to solve production problems.
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment.
• Perform welding (TIG, MIG, STICK) and routine shop maintenance.
