Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG in Graniteville, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the day shift to run HELLER CNC centers with Siemens 840 D controllers. You will study instructions, routings and blueprints to determine tooling needs and prepare setups for precision engine components.

You will verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, adjust setups to meet QC plans, and work in a safe, high‑growth environment that emphasizes teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years in mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent associate’s degree, or 3 years in heavy-duty machining environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of CNC controls (preferred Siemens 840 D) and tooling.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints, routings, control plans and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D controllers per instructions and diagrams.
• Study machining instructions, routings and control plans to determine specs and tooling needs.
• Set up, adjust and operate machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Check measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures) and adjust as required by QC plans.

And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.What you will be doingOperate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, plans and diagrams.Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, complex machine setups, and tooling requirements.Select the appropriate tools, and materials to be used in preparation of cubic engine components.Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.Check precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, fixed and telescoping gauges, templates and fixtures, and adjust according to quality control plans.Basic Requirements:2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree or 3 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
