Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician for the off shift in Aiken, SC. The role includes monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components, with responsibilities for Knoll cooling tanks, MTM washers, and related fluids.

Training in Germany will be required for 4-6 weeks, with relocation assistance and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You may be on call occasionally and will train on first shift before switching as production demands require.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or apprenticeship with several years of machining maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D CNC programming.
• Experience with machine tools, power tools, measuring devices and transfer systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of CNC machines.
• Maintain Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines; clean and refill as needed.
• Monitor and maintain machining and facility equipment and fluids; manage nitrogen and transfer tanks.
• Document malfunctions and spare parts used; coordinate training of less senior technicians.

Job Description Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Off Shift

Working Pattern: Full Time - Shift starts at 8:00 PM and ends at 6:30AM, Sunday night through Thursday morning. A shift premium will be added to the hourly rate. Additional hours/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires. You will need to attend training in Germany for 4-6 weeks.

Working Location: Aiken, SC Relocation package will be provided if applicable. We are offering a $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus Global Grade Level 63

What you will be doing:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.
• Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen.
• Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC)
• Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
