Job summary
Rolls-Royce Power Systems is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician for the Aiken, SC area. The role supports full‑time day shift with training in Germany for 4–6 weeks and potential overtime.
A sign‑on bonus of $5,000 is offered to qualified candidates who meet the basic and preferred requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring and repairing mechanical and electrical components, maintaining coolant systems and MTM washers, and coaching junior technicians.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or apprenticeship with 5–7 years in heavy‑duty machining maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D CNC programming.
- Experience with various machine tools and maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of CNC machines.
- Maintain Knoll coolant systems and MTM washing machines; manage fluids and upkeep.
- Order bulk nitrogen and repair transfer tanks as needed.
- Document malfunctions and parts usage; track spare parts.
- Coordinate training and coach less senior technicians.

- Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary. Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
- Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen. Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
- Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
- Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.
- Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC) Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

- Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
- Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
- Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
