Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician for day shift in Aiken, SC. You will monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of CNC equipment, including MTM washing machines and Knoll coolant systems.

The role requires advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D controls, with training in Germany for 4–6 weeks and potential on-call duties to support production.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent apprenticeship with 5–7 years of machining maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D CNC programming.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen; monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Document malfunctions and parts used.
• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.

Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

Working Pattern: Full Time - Shift starts at 6:00AM and ends at 4:30PM, Monday morning through Thursday morning. Additional hours/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires. You will need to attend training in Germany for 4-6 weeks.

Working Location: Aiken, SC

Relocation package will be provided if applicable.

What you will be doing:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary. Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen. Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC) Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
