Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician for day shift in Aiken, SC. The role involves monitoring, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on heavy-duty equipment, with training in Germany for 4–6 weeks.

Eligible for relocation if applicable, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Overtime exists; on-call occasional due to production needs. Desired candidates have 5–7 years of experience and advanced CNC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or apprenticeship with 5–7 years machining maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D CNC control.
• Experience with a range of tools and equipment including measuring devices and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of machines.
• Maintain Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including refilling as needed.
• Monitor bulk nitrogen and transfer tanks; document malfunctions and spare parts used.

Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

Working Pattern: Full Time - Shift starts at 6:00AM and ends at 4:30PM, Monday morning through Thursday morning. Additional hours/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires. You will need to attend training in Germany for 4-6 weeks.

Working Location: Aiken, SC

Relocation package will be provided if applicable.

What you will be doing:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary. Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen. Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.
  

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC) Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
