Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician for a mini shift schedule starting at 5:45 AM and ending 6:15 PM, Friday through Sunday. Training in Germany for 4–6 weeks is required.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, with overtime eligibility and relocation support. You will monitor and repair mechanical/electrical components, coolant systems, and MTM washers, while coaching junior technicians and ensuring safety and reliability in a heavy manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance with 5 years of machining maintenance experience, or completion of an apprenticeship with 7 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.
• Maintain machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and order bulk Nitrogen.
• Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Document malfunctions and parts used.
• Coordinate training and coach less senior technicians.

Job Description Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Mini Shift Working Pattern: Full Time - Mini Shift starts at 5:45AM and ends at 6:15PM, Friday morning through Sunday morning. A shift premium will be added to the hourly rate. Additional hours/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires. You will need to attend training in Germany for 4-6 weeks. Working Location: Aiken, SC Relocation package will be provided if applicable. We are offering a $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus Global Grade Level 63

What you will be doing:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.
• Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen.
• Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC)
• Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
