Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Graniteville, SC is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician for off shift to monitor, troubleshoot, and repair advanced machinery. Training will occur on first shift in Germany for 4–6 weeks. A sign-on bonus and relocation package are offered to eligible candidates.

The role requires strong knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D controls, with a background in heavy-duty manufacturing and TPM principles. On-call flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or completion of apprenticeship with years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines and Siemens 840D CNC programming.
• Experience with machine tools, power tools, measuring devices and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.
• Maintain machining and facility equipment and associated fluids.
• Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen.
• Monitor and repair transfer tanks.
• Document malfunctions and parts used.
• Coordinate training and coach less senior technicians.

Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Off Shift

Working Pattern: Full Time - Shift starts at 8:00 PM and ends at 6:30AM, Sunday night through Thursday morning. A shift premium will be added to the hourly rate. Additional hours/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires. You will need to attend training in Germany for 4-6 weeks.

Working Location: Aiken, SC Relocation package will be provided if applicable. We are offering a $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus Global Grade Level 63

What you will be doing:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of the machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines, including cleaning and refilling as necessary.

• Coordinate training and provide coaching to less senior technicians.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 7 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC).
• Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
