Job summary

Independence Tooling is actively seeking a CNC Lead to join our team. You will lead the CNC Department, mentor machinists, and oversee parts production using mills and CNC machines. Plan workloads from blueprints and work orders while ensuring safe operations and preventive maintenance.

The role requires experience in CNC programming (WorkNC), 5-axis machining, and familiarity with Fanuc or Fadal controllers; you will develop CNC instructions and review CAD designs for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in a CNC environment.
• Minimum 2+ years programming in WorkNC.
• Experience with CNC machining and programming.
• Experience running a 5-axis machine; familiarity with Fanuc or Fadal controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CNC Department and mentor other machinists.
• Set up and operate mills and CNC machines; plan machining from work orders and blueprints.
• Program and revise CNC instructions to improve efficiency; convert to CAM programs.
