Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a CNC Lead Operator to program, set up and run CNC mills and lathes, ensuring quality and safety. You will train teammates, plan machining projects from orders and drawings, and oversee GD&T interpretation.

This role may require cross-shift support. The ideal candidate has strong communication, leadership experience, and familiarity with Mastercam CAD/CAM, blueprints, and tools.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Ability to train others and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and show self-motivation.
• Experience leading and training people is preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprints and GD&T concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work with Machining Manager to achieve department goals.
• Train employees and develop machining projects.
• Plan machining by study of orders, drawings, GD&T and specs.
• Program mills and lathes, set up tooling and offsets.
• Load stock, verify settings and measure first parts.
• Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Document actions and maintain production/quality logs.
