Job summary

TruPath Recruiting in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to manufacture complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace and defense.

You will perform complete machine setups, interpret complex drawings with GD&T, manage tooling and work-holding, and ensure process control. This is not an entry-level role; a minimum of five years of hands-on CNC lathe experience is required. The position offers a competitive hourly rate, a sign-on bonus, and no mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on CNC lathe experience.
• Experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace/defense components.
• Ability to read and interpret complex GD&T drawings.
• Proficient in selecting inserts and tooling geometry.
• Strong sense of process control and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete CNC lathe setups and confirm zero and offsets.
• Verify dimensions per drawings and GD&T using inspection tools.
• Optimize tooling and work-holding for repeatability.
• Translate design requirements into precise machining processes.
