L2x Talent Solutions seeks an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes in our Downers Grove, IL facility. You will read blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce precision components while maintaining tight tolerances.

You will perform tool offsets, select tooling, inspect parts with precision equipment, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Safety and quality standards are a priority in daily duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar role.
• Strong understanding of CNC turning and lathe operations.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC lathes according to drawings and specs.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Perform machine setups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and workholding.
• Make tool offsets and program adjustments to maintain dimensions.
• Select and install cutting tools and inserts as needed.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment; perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and equipment issues.
• Monitor machine performance and optimize cycle times, tool life, and quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep area clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and efficiency.
