Job summary

TURBOCAM in Barrington, NH, seeks an experienced CNC Lathe machinist to operate, set up and program live tooling lathe machines for prototyping and production. The role includes training level I machinists and supporting CAD/CAM operations.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and maintain tools, while ensuring quality and efficiency. 2nd shift offers a 15% differential and opportunities for growth in a safety-focused shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC Lathe machinist experience including set-up and programming.
• Proficient in trigonometry.
• Experience with CAD/CAM or equivalent software.
• MS Office and ERP experience helpful (Epicor).
• Advanced GD&T and ANSI Y14.5 knowledge.
• Read blueprints; use metrology tools.
• Interpret and act on SPC data.
• Understand how metals affect tooling, speeds and feeds.
• Lifting up to 30 lbs. and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to level I machinists on operation and techniques.
• Set-up and operate live tooling lathes; inspect tools.
• Perform intermediate CAD/CAM operations.
• Support prototype machining programs and report defects.
• Assist programming for live tooling operations.
• Perform lathe live tooling where applicable.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines.
• Consult with engineers on tooling needs for projects.
• Design, build and maintain fixtures and tools.
• Inspect and document operations per Quality Manual.
• Support shop efficiency; report hazards; cooperate with peers.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
