Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to support customers by maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools across the upper Midwest. You will install, troubleshoot, and service machinery to ensure peak performance, with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic issues, and communicating findings clearly to customers. The role requires hands-on experience with CNC machinery and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience repairing or maintaining CNC machinery.
Experience with rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
Strong understanding of CNC controls and basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Advanced troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
Utilize manuals, technical documentation, and vendor support to troubleshoot complex problems.
Clearly communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
Accurately complete and submit service and installation reports.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of all equipment lines represented by the company.
