Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is partnered with an incredible CNC Machine Tool Distributor to hire CNC Field Service Technicians. In this role you’ll travel to customer sites across MN, WI, SD, ND and surrounding region to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC machine tools, controls, and related equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, interpret technical drawings and schematics, communicate findings to customers, and complete installation reports with precision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience repairing or maintaining CNC machinery.
• Experience with rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
• Strong understanding of CNC controls and basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across MN, WI, SD, ND and surrounding region to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools, controls, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Utilize manuals, technical documentation, and internal/vendor support to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Clearly communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
• Accurately complete and submit service and installation reports.
• Ensure customer commitments are met with a high standard of professionalism and technical excellence.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
• Stay informed on new technologies and product updates through ongoing training and technical seminars.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of all equipment lines represented by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned
