Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to travel across MN, WI, SD, ND and nearby regions to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and controls.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, interpret schematics and drawings, and clearly communicate equipment status to customers. Accurate service reports and a professional approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC repair or maintenance experience.
• Experience with rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
• Strong knowledge of CNC controls and basic electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within the region.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites throughout MN, WI, SD, ND and surrounding region to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools, controls, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Utilize manuals, technical documentation, and internal/vendor support to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Clearly communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
• Accurately complete and submit service and installation reports.
• Ensure customer commitments are met with a high standard of professionalism and technical excellence.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
• Stay informed on new technologies and product updates through ongoing training and technical seminars.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of all equipment lines represented by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned
