Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks a Field Service Technician for a world-leading CNC and laser machining equipment manufacturer. The role requires traveling to customer sites to commission, integrate, and troubleshoot equipment, and to support the field service team across a nationwide scope.

You will document service activities, maintain safety, and communicate with internal departments while delivering excellent customer service. OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines must be followed; 90-100% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Must live within 50 miles of a major airport.
• Able to travel 90-100%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to effectively use the Internet for troubleshooting and information gathering.
• Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical troubleshooting purposes.
• Ability to effectively utilize electric/electronic test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at customer sites.
• Support sales staff in servicing company equipment.
• Provide solutions for equipment service at customer locations.
• Document all service performed and future service needs.
• Maintain customer service and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate applicable company software capabilities to customers.
• Prepare timesheets, service reports, and installation forms.
