Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring for a CNC Drill Operator in the Small Parts Fabrication department. You will operate upright drill presses, CNC machinery, saws, and hand tools, reading blueprints and shop orders. The role requires safe operation, attention to detail, and timely communication with the supervisor.

The position offers a 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with a $26.13 per hour base pay plus a $2 shift differential, and opportunities for growth within a Fortune 1000 company.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 6 months experience operating a CNC Drill or like machine.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• The ability to accurately read a tape measure and micrometer.
• The ability to read Valmont blueprints.
• The ability to walk and stand up to 100% of the shift.
• Must have a high awareness for safety at all times.
• Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production drawings.
• Operate upright drill presses, CNC machining center, saw, radial arm drill and hand drills.
• Use measuring instruments to fabricate products.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area and on machines.
• Perform operator preventive maintenance and report issues.
