Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an early-career CNC/CAM Programming Technologist to turn blueprints into precise, working parts on our 3–4 axis VMCs.

You will build CAM toolpaths, generate G-code, and dial in feeds, speeds, and workholding. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform setups, and support throughput with hands-on machining.

A strong eye for detail, GD&T proficiency, and experience with CAD/CAM software will help you grow in a collaborative, safety‑conscious shop.

Qualifications

Step into a Day on Our Floor

In Hillsboro, OR, you’ll join a tight-knit manufacturing team using modern CNC technology to produce precise, high-quality components. As an early-career CNC/CAM Programming Technologist, you’ll grow your craft in a collaborative setting where accuracy, learning, and teamwork matter.

Morning: Turn blueprints into motion

• Study engineering drawings and apply GD&T to plan accurate machining strategies.
• Build CAM toolpaths and generate clean, efficient G-code for CNC mills (3–4 axis VMC).
• Coordinate with engineers to dial in feeds, speeds, and workholding for first runs.

Midday: Keep production moving

• Perform CNC setups and changeovers to transition between production runs smoothly.
• Troubleshoot tooling or machine issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Jump in on manual machining when needed to support throughput.

Afternoon: Verify and improve

• Validate parts using precision measurement and hand metrology tools to confirm specs.
• Refine programs and setups based on inspection feedback.
• Maintain an orderly, safe work area and follow all shop safety protocols.
