Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer for the Southeast Applications department in Suwanee, GA. You will assist Sales by providing technical information on Mazak machine tools to produce parts efficiently while maintaining robust quality.

The role requires hands-on machining knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and travel ~15% to customer sites and trade shows. The position reports to the Southeast Technology Center in Suwanee, GA.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machine tool operation and setup (2–5 years).
• Proficient in CAD/CAM and EIA/ISO (G-code) programming.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to ~15%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical information to Sales to support customers.
• Provide part processing / machine recommendations to best produce customer parts.
• Perform time study estimates of machine cycle time.
• Create proposals including labor and tooling costs.
• Design work holding and tooling as needed to support manufacturing.
