Mazak Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer to join the Regional Applications team in the Northeast Technology Center. You will assist Sales by providing technical information on Mazak machine tools to produce customer parts efficiently and with robust quality.

Essential duties include customer support, part processing recommendations, cycle time estimates, cost calculations, and hands-on machine demonstrations at trade shows. Travel about 15% is required.

Formación

• Associates degree or certification in a related technical field with 2+ years of experience, or 3–5 years in a related role.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Provide telephone / e-mail customer support on the operation and use of Mazak Products.
• Provide part processing / machine recommendations to best produce customer parts as the stated part volumes.
• Calculate time study estimates of machine cycle time.
• Calculate a cost to manufacture customer parts including labor, and tooling/ work holding costs.
• Conceptually design work holding and tooling to support manufacture of customer parts.
• Demonstrate machine operation and machine features at trade shows and open house events.
• Safely rig and install machines in Technology Centers and at trade show events; provide customer training on safe operation and detailed machine functions.
• Perform test cuts to demonstrate machine capability / prove processing concepts.
• Perform turnkey process development and testing including statistical analysis of part measurement.
• Approximately 15% travel required.
