Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in South Dakota is looking for a dedicated Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our not-for-profit team. The role provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse, including daily living activities, vital signs, and safety.

This full-time day shift position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Applicants must have CNA certification and a high school diploma or GED; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board as required by facility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Completes annual competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, bathing, dressing, and meal support.
• Document resident interactions and communicate care changes to the charge nurse.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE usage per policy and assist with housekeeping and dining.
