Job summary

Wellington Care Center in Wellington, TX seeks a Transportation Aide – CNA to safely transport residents to appointments and activities while providing compassionate care. You will drive residents, assist with mobility, and support CNA duties when not transporting.

The role requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, a minimum age of 25, and Texas Nursing Assistant Certification. DMV checks and company insurance qualification are required, along with completing the Employee

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 25 years old (insurance requirement).
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
• Pass DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
• Complete Employee Driver Proficiency program.
• Demonstrates strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with caregiving and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely Transport Residents: Drive residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities.
• Ensure Resident Comfort: Monitor safety and comfort during transport.
• Observe & Report: Note changes in residents' condition during transport and report concerns.
• Assist with Mobility: Help residents ambulate and transfer using assistive devices.
• Monitor Vital Signs: Record vitals when needed during transport.
• Support the Team: Assist with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents.
