The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, part of Sanford Health, offers a Nursing Assistant Trainee program designed to develop confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver. Trainees work with a preceptor to provide holistic client-centered care.

In this hybrid program, participants learn through online coursework and hands-on skills, and will prepare to take state CNA exams to obtain certification. The role emphasizes patient rights, independence, and compassionate care.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care to clients under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic health care needs.
• Document client care and communicate changes to the licensed nurse.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and privacy standards.
