Job summary
The Good Samaritan Society is hiring a Nursing Assistant Trainee in Tyndall, SD. You will join a learning experience designed to develop confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver providing personal care under a licensed nurse's supervision.
The program is delivered in a hybrid format with online curriculum and hands-on skills development, leading to state certification exams (CNA or other). You will work as part of a nursing team and must meet location standards for infection prevention
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
- For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Work with a preceptor to deliver holistic, client-centered care.
- Participate in a formal Nursing Assistant Training Program and complete all requirements within the designated timeframe.
- Assist with activities of daily living and basic health care needs as trained and proficient.
