Job summary

Southtowns Care Center in Buffalo, New York is hiring enthusiastic CNAs for all shifts. Under supervision, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and support their daily comfort needs.

We offer educational reimbursement for qualified nursing students and pay $16.50 per hour. Previous long-term care experience is a plus, and we look forward to meeting you to discuss professional opportunities at our facility.

Qualifications

• Current NYS CNA Certification.
• Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights promptly.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

Skills

Current NYS CNA Certification

Long Term Care experience a plus
