Job summary

Southtowns Care Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking enthusiastic CNAs for all shifts to join our professional staff. Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, CNAs provide direct nursing care to residents and perform services for their personal care and comfort.

We look forward to meeting with you to discuss opportunities at our facility. We offer educational reimbursement for qualified nursing students and pay $16.50 per hour for this position.

Qualifications

• Current NYS CNA Certification.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
