Job summary

Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen, a premier skilled nursing facility in Orange County, NY, has immediate openings for enthusiastic CNAs to join our Day Shift team. Under supervision, CNAs provide direct nursing care and support residents’ daily needs with compassion and professionalism, in a warm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current NY CNA Certification.
• Long Term Care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights promptly.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports observations to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Keeps resident units clean and prepared for housekeeping.

• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

Skill / Experience Requirements

Current NY CNA Certification.

Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.
