Job summary

Optalis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nursing and related services to residents in accordance with each resident's plan of care. The role emphasizes maintaining a homelike environment, supporting resident rights, and promoting independence where possible.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, activities of daily living, vital signs, documentation, infection control, and collaboration with the Unit Charge Nurse to update care plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a state-approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program within 4 months of hire.
• Verification from the State Nurse Aide Registry concerning abuse, neglect, mistreatment or misappropriation of resident's property.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as bathing, feeding and assisting with activities of daily living and designated procedures.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds and maintains an orderly environment.
• Maintains personal and oral hygiene of patients.
• Provides direct care to residents to support their plan of care.
• Assists with planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans and documents updates to the Unit Charge Nurse.
