Job summary

Optalis Healthcare (Health & Rehabilitation Centers) seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nursing and related services to residents in accordance with each resident's plan of care. The role focuses on helping residents reach the highest practicable level of functioning in a homelike environment.

The CNA will perform basic care tasks, assist with activities of daily living, document observations, and collaborate with the Unit Charge Nurse to update plans of care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required to learn basic patient care methods.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training & Competency Evaluation Program within 4 months of date of hire or continuation of state-approved program with no break in service for 24 months or longer.
• Verification of training and competency from the State Nurse Aide Registry regarding abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident's property.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care duties such as bathing, feeding and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Maintains beds and distributes nourishments, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
• Maintains personal and oral hygiene of patients and assists with plan of care.
• Documents and updates resident records and notes responses to interventions.
• Follows infection control policies and uses PPE as indicated.
• Responds to residents' needs promptly and prioritizes tasks effectively.
