Job summary

Optalis Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nursing and related services to residents in accordance with each resident's plan of care. You will support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs while promoting independence and a homelike environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, infection control, proper documentation, and teamwork with the Unit Charge Nurse to ensure safety and quality of care. Experience in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Successful completion of nurse aide training and competency evaluation within 4 months of hire.
• Verification from State Nurse Aide Registry regarding abuse, neglect or misappropriation.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as bathing, feeding and assisting with ADLs and designated procedures.
• Makes beds, maintains an orderly environment and distributes nourishments.
• Maintains personal and oral hygiene of patients.
• Provides direct care to residents according to the plan of care.
• Documents and revises resident FYI records and reports changes to the Unit Charge Nurse.
• Follows infection control policies and uses PPE as indicated.
• Responds to resident needs promptly and maintains confidentiality.
• Demonstrates integrity, prioritizes tasks and supports a homelike environment.
