Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care in Aberdeen, SD. You will work with the Rehab Therapy Team to deliver wellness and exercise programs within a skilled nursing setting.

The role requires a CNA certification and a willingness to receive restorative training. Prior experience with senior populations and fitness instruction is preferred, with opportunities to advance and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required; experience with senior populations preferred.
• Certification or training in fitness/instruction is advantageous.
• Team‑oriented approach to restorative care and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs in collaboration with the therapy team.
• Provide restorative care as directed (ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, ROM, grooming).
• Receive onsite restorative training and guidance from leadership.
• Support exclusive restorative responsibilities with limited to no non-restorative CNA tasks.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week with weekend coverage

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care

Wellness Location: Aberdeen, SD

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications

• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
